Labourers

Ellett Contracting are a civil construction company specialising in Agriculture Infrastructure. Currently we are seeking a number of labourers to assist with the building of grain storage facilities across WA.

This work is conducted generally on a 10 day working / 4 day off roster (11 hour days) and requires travelling to and from various remote locations. We offer an all in hourly rate, paid travel, accommodation and tax free meal allowance.

Experienced Final Trim Operator

Ellett Contracting are seeking experienced final trim operator. This role is issued on a casual basis, with the ability to become full time for the right applicants. Initial work is based remotely on a 10/4 roster which includes a competitive pay rate and allowances. 

Must be competent in civil earth works including:

  • Final trim- skidsteer, excavator (5t-30t)

  • Forklift operations

  • Set up levels

  • Read and interpret plans

  • Assist with concrete setup and installation and other associated site requirements

  • Must be able to pass regular drug and alcohol testing

  • Be reliable

  • Work within a team. Leading hand/ foreman experience highly regarded

Essential

  • RIIMPO301E Conduct Hydraulic Excavator Operations

Carpenter/ Concreter All Rounder 

Ellett Contracting are seeking experienced concrete all rounders including formwork carpenters and concrete finishers. This role is issued on a casual basis, with the ability to become full time for the right applicants. Must be able to finish concrete to a high standard and work unsupervised. Must be competent in civil earth works and concrete construction including:

  • Formwork

  • Steel fixing

  • Finishing

  • Skidsteer

  • Excavator

  • Loader

  • White card

  • Minimum MR truck license desirable

  • Riggers

  • Read and interpret plans

  • Must be able to pass regular drug and alcohol testing

Graduate Engineer / Draftsperson

Ellett Contracting has an exciting opportunity for a graduate level engineer/draftsperson to join our team and assist with current and future projects. In this role, you will be working closely with and reporting to the Project Manager and receive great training and career development opportunities. You will be a critical part in delivering projects safely, on time and to a high standard. 

You will be involved in the creation of technical drawings and documents for all of the projects. Your responsibilities will be to participate in drawing reviews for all design packages as part of the design review and approval process to achieve internal sign-off design. 

The key to success in this role is working knowledge of QA, design co-ordination, documentation, planning & programming, and safety. This role is offered on a full-time basis with an immediate start date for the right candidate. 

Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Assist in the research, design, operation and maintenance of civil engineering construction projects

  • Interact with design and construction resources during the design development and subsequent stages

  • Ensure any changes in scope, design or methodology are communicated to the construction team so that changes are incorporated in drawings

  • Collect and collate project specific design information for potential future usage if required

  • Assist with the collation of all completion documents including certificates, design compliance, as-builds and permits

  • Actively seek a briefing from the Project Manager at the start of each new project to agree the approach, timeframes, budget allocation for drafting and identify unique client requirements

  • Review drawings against company standards in a timely manner and complete QA checklist

  • Create and track updates to equipment schedules on drawings

  • Assisting with Procurement Management, Tendering, Bidding, Estimation

  • Quality Management - ITP, RFI, NCR, IR, SWMP, SDS, MDR, methodologies

  • Quality and HSE compliance to standard, specifications and contract obligations

  • Daily report scheduling MS project, sequencing, minute writing

  • Design management and review, developing and reviewing plans

  • Scope Management

  • Liaise with stakeholders

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Graduate Civil Engineer / Draftsperson

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities

  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Project, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • AutoDESK, AutoCAD, AutoDESK Revit, SketchUp

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to produce drawings in response to clear project program scheduling and deadlines

  • Well developed communication skills with the flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Desirable

  • C Class Drivers Licence

  • Construction White Card

  • Experience in civil construction design/drafting and structural design and drafting

  • Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and guidelines
